Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears
Hey! 🦆
In 2019 I started writing a book on writing clean code for frontend (primarily) developers. However, I struggled with writing from the start of the pandemic until the summer of last year. I finally made a new release after almost three years, and there’s a lot of new content in it!
This is also so far the largest update to the book. So what’s new?
1. Tests. I’ve added unit tests to the majority of code examples and found quite a few bugs in them.
2. Six new chapters:
1. Very big chapter on linting
2. Avoid comments
3. Not invented here syndrome
4. Become a code scout
5. Divide and conquer, or merge and relax
6. Don’t make me think
3. Updates:
1. A lot of new stuff in the “Code style” section
2. Many smaller updates and new examples throughout the book
3. 25% more content
